This is the end...or so she says! Helen made this t-shirt quilt for her last grandchild to graduate from high school. I'm always amazed at how many t-shirts she can get into a quilt and how she can make odd size block all play together so nice. This was quilted with "Sun Valley Zinnia Border" (Anne Bright). The back was a wide back batik flannel from SewBatik.com.
There were two kinds of stabilizer used on this quilt. One worked well, the other - not so much, it separated from the t-shirts as I quilted. I eventually had to cover the top with Press N Seal plastic wrap to allow the hopping foot to slide over the t-shirts without pulling them out of shape. I'm telling this story so that you'll know to check - and re-check - your stabilizers when making this kind of quilt. Helen says she's done...
